Tai-wu Ancient Ballads Troupe- The Slope Suffused with Alternation of Summer and Fall
“My thoughts have been turned into the rain shrouding the mountain. As you step on the land soaked by my missing, it is our closest distance.”
The Pi-Wans have their unique lifestyles and emotions. Through the production of Tai-wu Ancient Ballads Troupe, audiences will experience how the daily lives of the Pi-Wans go. The text, fusing traditional symbols of plants and image pro-jection, shows the harvest time in the alternation of summer and fall. Therefore, Tai-wu Ancient Ballads Troupe co-operated with the elders of Chia-Xin tribe to represent the ancient harvest ballads which only sang in harvest seasons. Moreo-ver, the legacy, children and young people of the tribe inheriting from the elders, also shows strong vitality and profound cultural background of Pi-Wan ancient chants.
The performance is combined with traditional chanting and live band cross-over music forms, presenting the scenes of daily meetups, the sensation and its flow of people, and stories of traditional Pi-Wan tribe. Making audiences comprehend ancient wisdom and harmony between mother nature, others and self, the per-formance gives us a wonderful panorama of Pi-Wan.
