About the Performance
Chen Chung-shen is a distinguished musician widely recognized by many awards. He has won the top award of the Five Lights Award, a TV program, in 1979. He has also earned the Golden Melody Awards (previously the Golden Tripod Awards) for Best Performer and Best Composition for many times. Over the past 40-plus years, he has created several dongxiao solos, making the instrument as expressive as Chinese bamboo flute. A night with great dongxiao and Chinese bamboo flutes, plus the extraordinary performing skills Chen has acquired over the past 50 years, the concert will surely be a dazzling one that wows all the audience.
