The National Center for Traditional Arts(NCFTA) Organizational Chart
The Organizational Rule of NCFTA, first promulgated by the Presidential Order, was implemented by the Executive Yuan on May 20th, 2012. With a management plan made onOctober 31st, 2011, NCFTA was legitimately unveiled on May 20th,2012.

 

NCFTA primarily under takes there sponsibilities on the research, presentation, promotion, reward, collectionand creation of traditional arts. Specific tasks comprise the followings:traditional arts’ acquisition, cataloguing, publication and management of documents,audiovisual records; traditional arts’ digital value-added application and educational promotion; traditional arts’ talents training and international andcross-strait exchange. In addition, Taiwan music’s investigation, acquisition,conservation, study, interchange and promotion and subordinate units’operation, management and supervision are included as well.

 

NCFTA contains three divisions (i.e. OverallPlanning Division, Performing Arts Development Division, Operation andPromotion Division), three general administrative offices (i.e. SecretaryOffice, Personnel Office and Accounting Office) and four subordinate units(i.e. GuoGuang Opera Company, Taiwan Bangzi Opera Company, National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan and Taiwan Music Institute). With collective efforts as awhole, NCFTA makes a full strength to achieve the goals on the cultivation,active application and quality advancement of traditional arts.

 

 

The duties of every individual department and unit are listed bellows:

 1. The Overall Planning Divisionis designated to:

a) draft and formulate creativedevelopment schemes for traditional arts;

b) conduct the investigation,collection and study of traditional arts and coordinate publications;

c) grant guidance and aids toprivate groups and senior artists;

d) collect, edit and managedocuments and audiovisual records and provide consulting services;

e) maintain and manage digital learning resources and the database of website

f) integrate all subordinate units’ affairs. 


2.The Performing Arts DevelopmentDivision is designated to:

a) facilitate cross-artcooperation among traditional theaters, music, dance and folk acrobatics;

b) drive the lead to improve and innovate script writing and performing arts;

c) arrange training programs in the field of performing, script writing and directing

d) organize significant events and activities like art festivals, dramas, music and dances; and

e) coordinate international and cross-strait exchange. 

 

3. The Operation and PromotionDivision is designated to:

a) organize the exhibition,educational promotion for traditional crafts, theaters, folklores and artifacts;

b) outline the cultural creative development of Yilan Park Area;

c) coordinate the privatization of Yilan Park Area, invite bids, and monitor and evaluate the operation effects;

d) maintain and manage the infrastructureand facilities like buildings, electromechanical supply , fire control and information system of Yilan Park Area;

e) supervise the operation of Yilan Park Area and other subordinate units;

f)  recruit, train, promote andmanage volunteers; 

g) integrate the image marketing of NCFTA and direct press release, media cooperation, congress liaison and public relations.

 

4. The Secretary Office is in charge of:

a) the assessment, regulation,documents, filing, official sealing, cashier, general affairs, purchase and property management; and

b) the supervision of technicians and drivers.

 

5. The Personnel Office is in charge of personnel affairs.

 

6. The Accounting Office is in charge of budgets, accounting and statistics of NCFTA.

 

7. The GuoGuang Opera Company is responsible for:

a) the plan, production and rehearsal of presentations;

b) the study, marketing and educational promotion of performing arts and the arrangement of the international and cross-strait interchange;

c) the writing and compilation of scripts and the gathering, collection and management of archives;

d) the selection, assessment and training of troupe members; and

e) the operation and maintenance of the field venue.

 

8. The Taiwan Bangzi Opera Companyis responsible for:

a) the plan, production and rehearsal of Bangzi Opera’s presentations;

b) the study, marketing and educational promotion of performing arts and the arrangement of the international and cross-strait interchange;

c) the writing and compilation of scripts and the gathering, collection and management of archives;

d) the selection, assessment and training of troupe members; and

e) the operation and maintenance of the field venue.

 

9. The National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan is responsible for:

a) the plan, production and rehearsal of traditional Chinese music’s presentations;

b) the study, marketing and educational promotion of traditional Chinese music and the arrangement of the international and cross-strait interchange;

c) the composition and arrangement of pieces of traditional Chinese music and the gathering, collection and management of archives; and

d) the selection, assessment and training of troupe members.

 

10.The Taiwan Music Institute is designated to:

a) implement the investigation,study, collection, conservation, protection, transmission and publications of Taiwan music;

b) collect, edit and manage documents and audiovisual records of Taiwan music and provide consulting services;

c) arrange training programs for potential music composers;

d) facilitate the construction of an authorizing platform for Taiwan Music; and

e) coordinate international and cross-strait cooperation.
